 “NEERAJA” is a dynamic and unique concept towards rehabilitation of residents.
It has been the sad experience of CADABAM’S that for its rehabilitated residents and families, that social acceptance are not easy to gain. Many times, when they are ready for discharge they will not have that courage, self-confidence to stand up to the challenges of life outside the safe environs of the Rehabilitation Center resulting in their preference to return to the Center or remain within the four walls of the house. When they stay in the house, the chances of relapse of their illness due to various triggering factors are increased.
 It is not easy to get employment for those who were diagnosed with mental illness even after they are fully rehabilitated and functional. Prejudices still rule the society. In spite of all these odds CADABAM'S has been able to source jobs to a few of our residents through some good-hearted employers. As an answer to this problem “NEERAJA" a self-help venture was launched.
“NEERAJA” since then has brought out their eclipsed talents, business acumen and vocational skill to the fore, like a Lotus blooming out of waters. |
| How does it work |
| Under this scheme the family & the Resident will be helped to associate in a business venture where the resident is employed. The venture will be identified by CADABAM'S & it will be a period of Apprenticeship for the Resident & will get paid during Apprenticeship. He will reside at CADABAM’S campus only. The Family will provide a part of seed capital required and a substantial part of which will be returned to them on the basis of monthly installments. In a brief span, "NEERAJA" has helped around 15 Residents with an occupation, with the support of their families. The outlets are NEERAJA Confectionary, NEERAJA cafeteria, NEERAJA food joint, NEERAJA STD Booth and CADABAM'S Medical & General Stores all of which are located near the CADABAM’S campus. |
